Kassa sells. Kompass runs everything behind it

Most of what we build starts from one of two frameworks we built and run ourselves. Kassa is the selling side: online stores, the sales desk, the counter and payments. Kompass is the back office: orders, the warehouse, products and stock. Both are modular, so each business gets its own shape, not one size for all.

Platform, not package

What stays the same, and what we shape.

The parts every business needs to be right are the same everywhere, and proven daily. The parts that make a business its own are built for it.

The same for everyone

  • The stock ledger, by batch, best-before and bin, never edited
  • Picking oldest batch first, with barcode checks
  • One catalogue, one customer list and one checkout
  • Orders, companies, account pricing and quotes
  • Roles and permissions, per area of the business
  • Hosting, backups, updates and security

Shaped for each business

  • The screens, the steps and what each person sees
  • Documents in your branding, in your customers' languages
  • Which modules are switched on, and which are built new
  • Connections to your accounting, couriers, payment provider and channels
  • Reports and exports in the shape you work in
  • The hardware on the floor and at the counter

Built from the same frameworks

Three businesses that look nothing alike.

The same two frameworks, with different modules switched on and different parts built for each. One is running today; two are the shapes we are asked for most.

Where they are used

Not one size for all.

What we build, and which framework it starts from. Some of it starts from neither, and that is fine too.

Better together

One shelf, every counter.

Kassa sells online and over the counter, Kompass receives and picks, and every sale comes off the same shelf, in the same ledger, picked from the same batch. Try it.

Try the buttons. Kassa sells, Kompass receives and picks, and every door writes to the same ledger. Nothing to reconcile at the end of the day.

Service

Features are easy to copy now. Service is not.

Software is quicker to build than ever, so what sets a system apart is who stands behind it. Every Stackslim system comes with a named service manager, IT support around the clock, and changes whenever your business needs them, all inside one flat monthly fee.

A service manager who knows you

One named person who learns how your business works, from the first call to years after launch. You never start again with someone new, and you never explain your setup twice.

IT support, 24/7, included

Day or night, weekday or weekend, someone answers. Support is part of the monthly fee, never a bolt-on, an hourly rate or a ticket queue.

Shaped before you start, changed whenever you like

Tell us what you need before launch and we build it in. Change your mind later and we add, change or take things away, as part of the same fee.

No hidden fees, ever

No payment fees from us, no per-order, per-user or per-till fees, and no scaling fees as you grow. The fee you agree is the fee you pay.

Questions

About the platforms.

Do we have to use Kompass or Kassa?

No. They are where we start when a business holds stock and sells it. If yours does not fit them, we build what does, and say so up front.

Is it the same system every client gets?

No. They are frameworks: the foundations are the same and tested in daily use, and the modules, screens, steps, documents and connections are chosen and shaped for each business.

Can we start with one and add the other later?

Yes. Some start with Kompass in the warehouse, others with Kassa online or at the counter. The other can be added later, on the same products, stock and customers.

Where do you work?

We are based in the UK and build for businesses across the UK, Sweden and the rest of Europe. Both frameworks run in a browser, so the warehouse, the counter and the office can be anywhere.

Are they sold as subscriptions?

Neither is sold off the shelf. A build is quoted once, then one flat monthly fee covers hosting, support and changes. No per-user, per-order or per-sale fees, ever.

Tell us what you run on today.

We'll say which platform we'd start from, what we'd shape, and whether you need either at all.
