How MJ Trading went from three platforms to one.
A Swedish food and drink wholesaler ran its orders through a marketplace tool, email and spreadsheets, and retyped every one of them. Today its trade store, order desk and warehouse run on one system built by Stackslim: live eight weeks after discovery, monthly running costs down 31%, and no transaction fees on any order.

Before
A business built on relationships, and a back office that had not kept up.
MJ Trading AB is a wholesale trading company based in Sweden, supplying food and drink to trade buyers across Scandinavia. Like many businesses in the sector, it grew its customer base on strong personal relationships. The back-office systems had not kept pace.
When they came to Stackslim, every order was still managed by hand through phone calls, email threads and spreadsheets. Trade buyers had no way to serve themselves, and a small internal team was spending a disproportionate amount of its week on admin instead of growth.
- Orders arrived through a marketplace tool, by email and in spreadsheets, and were retyped into three separate platforms.
- Trade buyers had nowhere online to browse the range, get a quote or place an order on their own.
- The website had no account management and no store behind it.
- A transaction fee was taken on every sale that went through the ordering tool.
“We were losing 2% of every sale to transaction fees, our software was outdated and we were spending too much time moving information across 3 or 4 different platforms.”
What changed
Three platforms became one.
A marketplace ordering tool, a website with no store behind it and a stack of spreadsheets each held part of the picture. Now orders start, get priced and reach the warehouse from one place, and information is entered once.
Live eight weeks after discovery.
What we built
A trade store, an order desk and a warehouse, in one system.
The first version went live eight weeks after discovery: a trade store their customers could use on their own, and one admin for the team behind it. Since then the system has grown with the business, and the warehouse has moved in too.
A trade store their customers can use on their own
Approved buyers sign in to a store that shows their agreed prices. They browse the range, build a basket, request a quote or place an order themselves, at any hour. Prices are hidden from anyone without an account, different buyers see different price lists, and a change to a price group reaches every buyer in it at once.

MJ Trading AB“We went with the Stackslim solution to keep the process simple and professional for us and our customers.”
One admin for orders, quotes, products and customers
The team works in Kompass, the admin we built. Every order, quote, company and product lives in one place, in Swedish or English. Product data that once lived in three tools is entered once, and jobs that used to take an afternoon, like changing hundreds of prices, take three steps.

MJ Trading ABA warehouse that knows where everything is
Bins, batches and best-before dates are recorded as goods come in, so picking follows first-expired, first-out without anyone having to think about it. The map shows what sits where. Stock health shows what is running low and what is close to its date, before it becomes a problem.

MJ Trading ABPicking and scanning on iPads
Warehouse staff sign in on iPads with a PIN. A pick list becomes a guided walk through the bins in order, one location at a time, with the batch and best-before shown at every stop. Scanning a product, a bin label or a printed document opens the right next step.

Traceability in one click
Food wholesale needs recall lists. Every batch has a page showing what arrived, where the rest sits, and which customer orders took cases from it, with a button that copies their contact emails. When a pick is completed, a draft invoice is created in the accounting system on its own.

MJ Trading ABAfter
Running costs down 31%, and a direct line for everything else.
Three platforms became one. Monthly running costs fell by 31%, transaction fees went to zero, and the first version was live eight weeks after discovery.
Since then the system has kept changing with the business: purchasing and supplier orders, accounting sync, Swedish across the whole admin, and the warehouse. Every change is included in the monthly fee, and the people who built it are the people who answer.

MJ Trading AB“Stackslim's continuous tech support and free website updating is extremely valuable with our ever-expanding product list.”
